The Lahontan Valley Environmental Alliance regrets to inform you that we will be going inactive September 2011. This means that we will be shutting our doors and turning off the lights until the LVEA is needed again and budget support is back at an operational level. The interlocal agreement that founded LVEA in 1993 will remain. All working groups, projects, partnerships, other agency support and partnerships will all go inactive. All staff and office operations will cease. We hope that this is a temporary status for the LVEA and when the economy regains strength so will LVEA and its members.
We thank everyone and the many agencies over the many years that have been a part of LVEA. We especially thank the City of Fallon and Churchill County for its continued and final financial support. LVEA also would like to recognize the Truckee-Carson Irrigation District for its many years of financial contribution and their dedication to support our mission and goals.
