A
NOTE FROM ERICA
Hello everyone! I am really looking forward to this new and challenging position. I love the Lahontan
Valley and have lived here most
of my life. Both my family and my
husband’s family are in the valley and love it as much as I do. I am extremely
thrilled to try and fill Jeannette’s large shoes!! Luckily, I will be able to
shadow her for 7 weeks before she heads off into the sunset. Not to worry, Jeannette will be around, the dedication and
love she has for LVEA will keep her close.
Jeannette plans to volunteer for the LVEA after her official retirement.
As for me, I plan to continue right where she is leaving off and continue
with the mission and goals of the LVEA. I
would really like to expand community education and awareness of the importance
of water in the Lahontan Valley and Fernley.
Small Example: education of residents on the importance of recharge and
keeping water coming down stream. There are many projects in the works. Jeannette is helping me finish up some of her babies (Sand
Mountain Blue Butterfly) and there are many more projects and working groups
just getting starting.
I invite and encourage all of you to come by the LVEA office at our new
location. I would love the chance
to introduce myself and talk to you about LVEA and its mission!
Sincerely,
Erica
Behimer
